Coach Matt uses sports as a platform to teach life lessons and connect with our kids through play. Our vision is to inspire, empower and enable our youth by giving them the tools to navigate on the field and in life!
The foundation of our company is built around RAE. RAE stands for Respect. Attitude. Effort - in everything you do, all day long. It’s all about mindset!
We teach:
Respect Do unto others, kindness & consideration for people, places & things.
Attitude Having a positive, attitude of gratitude & glass half full mentality
Effort Giving 110% to everything you do, even/especially when it’s challenging!
We ask our players to ask themselves:
-
Was that respectful?
-
Did I have a positive attitude?
-
Did I try my hardest & put forth all my effort to the task at hand?
We take a holistic approach to coaching and inspire you to be present and focused on your passion. We encourage more time outside and off screens! Our methodology builds confidence, improves mental and physical well-being and helps you to evolve and be the best version of yourself.

BIO
Coach Matt graduated from Duke University in 1995 with a BA in Spanish. He played lacrosse and was a 3x All American, 3x All ACC, and was named ACC Player of the Year in 1995 - the first Duke player to receive that honor since the 1950s. Matt played 12 years professionally in the National Lacrosse League & Major League Lacrosse, winning a championship with the Philadelphia Wings in 1998 and was captain for the runners-up LA Riptide in 2007.
Early in his career, he directed programs around the country for STX Lacrosse Camps, Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse Camps, and US Sports Camps (Nike). After learning all aspects of the sports management business in 2004 he decided to start his own company -- All West Lacrosse, a youth lacrosse training company serving boys & girls of all skill levels from Pre K-12th in Northern California. All West Lacrosse developed training Programs (after-school clinics, day camps, private training, travel teams), and Events (leagues, overnight camps, tournaments) and in 15 years it grew from 700 player registrations to over 6000 player registrations annually.
Coach Matt and his family, wife Jenaya Joy, son Jet (11) and daughter Charley Joy (8), recently moved back to the USA from City Beach, Western Australia where they spent 5 years. They landed in Miami to help develop a growing lacrosse community and create a holistic youth Life Development Program. Coach Matt has dedicated his life to coaching - his passion is using sports as a platform to teach life lessons. He has coined the acronym (RAE) which stands for Respect, Attitude & Effort and is at the core of all of the RAE All Day programming.
We want to bolster our youth’s tool box to help them navigate the highs and lows of life as many families and teens are suffering from technology overload, poor mental health & the after effects of Covid! In short, our goal is to inspire and encourage kids to create healthy boundaries with technology use, ignite and feed their passions, get outside and be more connected to nature and others, and practice mindfulness so the focus is on the present moment.
